Sourcing Our Vintage Furniture
April 10th, 2019
Did you know that our furniture comes from all over the globe? Not only do we travel the US from coast to coast, we also love to hop on a plane and jet-set to international locations bringing you the best antique and vintage pieces worldwide. One of our favorite locales to source unique items from is the South of France. The Marché aux Puces (which literally translates to “flea market”) is a series of markets located in villages all over France. Hundreds of merchant’s design stalls with unique collections of vintage finds. Sometimes we even end up stumbling onto a farmhouse and finding treasures, which is an experience that can’t be replicated anywhere else.
When closer to home, we’re hitting the road across the US, where we’ve found some of our favorite items. A frequent stop is the Brimfield Flea Market in Massachusetts, which boasts a full mile of fields teeming with vendors, all open from sunrise to sunset. Another favorite is the Round Top Antiques Fair in the Texas Hill Country. Held inside an iconic Red Barn, as well as under classic Continental Tents, both of these markets host vendors as far as the eye can see with countless vintage and antique items to explore. You can bet we get some great exercise roaming these fields to find amazing pieces!
We’re very lucky to live in in Southern California where we have two of the largest flea markets in the country. The Long Beach Antique Market, held at Veteran’s Stadium, is a whopping 20 acres filled with over 800 vendors, and has even hosted an episode of HGTV’s “Flea Market Flip.” The Pasadena Rose Bowl fondly known to every SoCal resident, hosts its very own flea market once a month, where you’ll find us perusing the stalls. We never walk away empty handed!
Throughout our world travels, we have come across incredible pieces of antique furniture and accessories that we are proud to bring home and add to our collection. We are always excited to hit up the next flea market or vintage fair to bring you unique pieces that will wow even the most well-versed vintage aficionado.
